BryanLGH College of Health Sciences Health Career Camp is a great way to learn about the many different careers in health care, talk to health professionals about their jobs, and experience hands-on health care activities.

• Ultrasounds
• Skills Lab demonstrations where you will learn to:
  • Start an I.V.
  • Provide basic wound care
  • Insert an NG tube
  • Start a Foley Catheter
• Real life in a medical center as you shadow a health professional
• Providing patient care with our patient simulators:
  • Deliver a baby
  • Resuscitate and bring simulator back to life
  • Intubate a patient
  • Assess patient and start CPR

Does this question ever enter your conversations?! It seems the minute you hit high school everyone is looking toward your future. Though, it's true you need to start preparing for college, it's hard to know what steps to take to get there. At BryanLGH College of Health Sciences Career Camp, you can explore the many different career options available in health care.

Camp experience

Some think the health care field is made up of only doctors and nurses...But did you know that there are more than just those professionals that keep a hospital running?

Through this week-long camp at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences you will learn not only about health careers but see what health care professionals do by participating in hands-on experiences.

Camp details

When: June 25-29 OR July 23-27, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Where: BryanLGH College of Health Sciences, 5035 Everett St., Lincoln, Nebraska

Cost: $300 (includes $50 non-refundable deposit required at time of application). This includes lunches, scrub uniforms, supplies, transportation to field trips and bowling and pizza social activity. Ten scholarship spots are available courtesy of Woods Charitable Foundation.

Get involved

To participate students must:

• Be a high school student age 16 or older.
• Be interested in a health career and enjoy science classes.
• Be able to attend the entire weeklong camp.
• Apply by April 16.

 Application details:

• Complete and return application with a $50 non-refundable deposit by May 1.
• Applicants will be notified by May 15 of acceptance to the Camp.
