Trauma Center

Nobody expects tragedy to strike. But when it does, the dedicated team behind the BryanLGH Trauma Program - which houses the first verified Trauma Center in Nebraska - is ready. The BryanLGH Trauma Program has been carefully designed to meet the needs of critically injured patients as quickly as possible. Trauma specialists are available 24 hours a day to meet those needs. Our program encompasses a Level II Trauma Center, Regional Trauma Registry Program, Performance Improvement Program, Trauma Prevention and Education Program and Trauma Outpatient Clinic for follow-up care.

Learn about our second annual Trauma Champions event, which honored two remarkable trauma survivors and the dedicated professionals involved in saving their lives, from first-responders, to inpatient medical care providers to rehabilitation. Click here to view videos depicting the stories of our survivors: Derek Ruth, a 12-year-old boy who suffered a traumatic brain injury during a midget football game, and Elizabeth Lemp, a 72-year-old grandmother who suffered multiple traumatic injuries as a result of a car crash on a stormy night.

For more than 25 years, BryanLGH has been the designated Trauma Center for Southeast Nebraska. Our trauma program is verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. Through its dedicated physicians, staff members from numerous departments and administration, the Trauma Center has maintained a high level of commitment to critically injured patients. Seriously injured patients need immediate care delivered by a team of trained professionals in order to have the best chance of survival.
