StarCare is staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Our team will bring the critical care experience necessary to transport seriously injured or ill patients. When speed is vital, air transport may be the best choice for patients. StarCare doesn't replace local ground EMS services; we partner with them to provide additional, expert care.
Some situations when air transport is especially appropriate is when the weather adversely affects ground times, or when local EMS staff personnel are unable to leave their area because of staff availability.
Advantages of Using Air Transport:
-
Out of hospital time is kept at a minimum
-
Experienced, highly trained crew
-
Safer, more comfortable for patient
-
Avoiding traffic and hazardous road conditions
