StarCare is a dedicated air ambulance service that began serving Lincoln, Nebraska in 1989.
Our helicopter is used for transports within a 160-mile radius of Lincoln. We respond to accident scenes as well as calls from outlying facilities that have critically ill or injured patients who need a level of medical intervention not always available in rural settings, or when out-of-hospital time must be minimized.
StarCare is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week to meet all medical transport needs.
StarCare has been accredited by the Commission of Accreditation for Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS), a nationally recognized organization that ensures such programs meet or exceed national standards for safety, education and training.
Our medical team consists of a registered nurse and a respiratory therapist or flight paramedic. Each crew member has a minimum of four years critical care experience and training in advanced cardiac, burn, pediatric and trauma care.
