Do I have to be "In-Network" with my insurance company to visit Urgent Care at LifePointe?
No, but we advise you check with your insurance carrier in regards to the percentage of the visit that you will be responsible to pay. Your co-pay will be collected at the time of your visit. We accept cash, check, debit, Visa or Mastercard. Urgent Care at LifePointe is not a participating partner with Medicaid.
When should I visit Urgent Care rather than my own doctor?
Urgent Care at LifePointe is available to provide convenient, quality care to you and your family. However, Urgent Care does not replace your family doctor. Some situations when you might consider Urgent Care include when you are unable to schedule an appointment with your family doctor, your doctor's office is closed, or you do not have a primary care physician. We will send copies of your visit records and results of any tests performed to your doctor's office so that your family doctor can provide any follow-up care you need. If you do not have a doctor, we can help you find one.
What is the normal wait time at Urgent Care at LifePointe?
Wait times vary but are usually much shorter than those at the emergency room. We will make every attempt to see you within 10-20 minutes of your arrival. If there is a delay, we will keep you informed. Our lobby is equipped with a TV, magazines, newspaper and children's play area to provide comfortable waiting conditions.
What are the qualifications of the Urgent Care at LifePointe staff?
A board certified physician is on site at all times, in addition to our licensed, experienced and caring nursing staff. We also have registered radiology technicians on site to perform x-rays, as needed. Our receptionist will greet you and assist with registration and insurance information or questions.
