ALS Ambulance Service
Crete Area Medical Center works in conjunction with Crete Fire and Rescue squads to provide 24-hour Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Service. The service allows for immediate transfer of patients to the BryanLGH Medical Center or other tertiary care centers.
Emergency Care Providers
EMS Services
Crete Area Medical Center is pleased to work directly with the Crete, Dewitt, Dorchester and Wilber volunteer Emergency Medical Service personnel. These pre-hospital providers are integral to the care of all patients who are transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Helipad
For emergency transport of critical or seriously injured patients, Crete Area Medical Center works with emergency flight teams using its facility-based helipad. These patients are stabilized and transported via helicopter to tertiary care centers.
Trauma Services
Crete Area Medical Center is currently designated a Level IV Trauma Center. As part of the statewide trauma network, medical center team members work closely with the BryanLGH Trauma Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. The primary goal is to provide rapid, efficient stabilization and transfer of trauma patients to an appropriate trauma facility.
